Take a moment to acknowledge your resilience. Be proud of yourself for how far you have come. For your resilience. For your willingness to continue.

People Will Treat You

People Will Treat You

You can’t control how anyone treats you but here are some things you can do:
•set boundaries
•remind them of those boundaries
•identify behaviors and comments you aren’t okay with
•remove yourself from unhealthy relationships

If we don't set boundaries or tell people how we want to be treated, they will treat you however you allow yourself to be treated. Say that slowly, one more time.

Boundaries matter. Your needs matter. Identifying your best interests matter. Others will not always respect your boundaries or needs and setting them is still necessary.

Growth & Healing

Let’s talk about healing and the growth we experience as a result. Growth and healing are a moment by moment process. I don’t believe we ever fully “arrive” and stop growing and healing. Even when we feel like we are healed and recovered, there is always space to continue to deepen our growth and healing. ⁣

You are Brave

You are Brave

Unpopular opinion: being fearless is never a goal for me. Being fearless isn’t realistic and our fears are important to acknowledge and can teach us a lot. It’s okay to be afraid and to share your fear. ⁣

Being brave isn’t about never being afraid. It is about taking risks that align with your values, even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

You Are Not Unlovable

When someone tells you that they don't love you anymore, through their words or their actions, it is easy to internalize that. One of the most common core beliefs with the clients I support is "I am unlovable" or "I am not worthy of love". When we believe we are unlovable it shows up in every single other relationship or encounter we have with another person.

You Deserve

You deserve to have people in your life who hold space for all of your emotions. Nothing feels better than knowing someone cares about you and doesn't try to minimize or push away the parts of you that feel complicated or "too much".

You Can’t Heal

You Can’t Heal

You can't heal if you keep pretending you're not hurt. It can be easy to just want to ignore our hurt and pain and push it way. While that may work temporarily, our hurt will always come back up in some way. Each avoidant and distracting behavior just delays our healing.

Give yourself space to understand what has hurt you. You deserve to give yourself a chance to heal.
